Cleaning Services

Septic Systems and Aerated Systems

All septic systems eventually require cleaning. Holding tanks do a good job of processing human waste but a poor job of processing effluent from kitchen disposals and washing machines. Eventually tanks fill up with material that fails to dissolve properly and the system backs up. At this point there is no reasonable alternative except to pump the material out of the tanks. The cleaning process requires a special truck that can both pump the waste out of your tank and safely transport it to an authorized waste disposal site. Depending on the installation of your system, access ports may be buried below ground level and will require locating. This usually involves some degree of digging to expose the access ports.  Partial or complete collapse of tanks is possible if heavy machinery has been moving above the tanks. This is an especially common occurrence when plastic tanks have been installed. In the event of tank collapse, the technician will recommend replacement of the tanks. This will require scheduling a new system installation.

Grease Traps

Grease traps are the part of the sanitary sewer system that prevent heavy grease from entering and clogging the municipal collection system. The tanks are typically located in the floor near the slop sink or outside in the ground. These tanks require regular maintenance to function properly in order to prevent back ups and fines. A-1 Wastewater's field service technicians are professionally trained to service and clean any size or type of grease trap located either inside or outside of your facility.  Our uniformed Field Service Technicians will locate your tank and perform the necessary service to ensure the integrity of the system.  The process begins with the complete removal of all grease, sediment and grease-laden water.  We offer a scheduled service which occurs on a regular frequency to help keep grease problems under control – so you can take care of business.
